During my tenure as a senior human resource professional and leadership and career coach, I have been on both sides of the talent management and employee relations table. I use my executive experience and expertise to help organizations understand and remove the cultural barriers that block diverse leaders from rising.
I help organizations transform their culture and expand their talent pipeline by incorporating inclusive practices into their leadership and organizational strategies.
Hi, I'm Janell!
Janell Snipes | MHRM, SHRM-CP, Certified Inclusive Workplaces Practitioner
I am a Speaker and a Leadership and Culture Consultant. Over ten years ago, I was intentionally trying to grow my career and advance to the level of senior leadership. My career journey made me realize that growing a career, while being a woman in predominantly male industries, was going to take more than intelligence, a great smile, and sheer luck. I now know firsthand what it’s like to navigate the invisible barriers that women face while growing careers in corporate America, and that is why I speak to business leaders and rising women leaders.
My goals are to:
- Bring awareness to behaviors and structures that are un-inclusive and isolating to non-majority groups in workplaces.
- Inspire workplace change so that women and other diverse talents can do great things within the organizations that they choose.
When I am not speaking, you can find me laughing out loud with my family and friends over a good meal, preferably while basking in the sunshine. I look forward to connecting and being a part of your next event so that together we can make space for women in the room!
Breaking Down Barriers
The benefits of diverse workplaces and spaces have been reported for many years. The majority of business leaders would love the proven results of a diverse workforce and diverse leadership within their organizations but frequently discount the impact of education.
Transformative change can begin when leadership has the awareness to implement and support systemic changes toward a positive workplace culture.
Understanding how their team members are being unintentionally or intentionally impacted by workplace behaviors will provide the foundation for why change is needed to meet strategic goals.
